Acne Pimples
Acne pimple is a skin condition occurred as a result of inflammation of skin. This is the most common skin disorder, noticed most in teenagers and may affect the adults. Acne pimples are caused due to blocking of skin pores. It is a superficial eruption of the skin. Acne pimples normally occur on face. However, in some cases it may extend to chest, neck and back. All acne is not same. On the basis of their color acne can be categorized as blackheads/whiteheads and red bumps. Classification of acne is considered important as acne treatment for each type of acne is different. Comedones (black/white heads) usually occur on face and shoulder and are more in numbers as compared to red bumps that are filled with pus. Maintaining good skin hygiene is considered as the best of treating acne pimples. You must understand the root cause behind appearance of preventing from acne or treat it….
In general we say that acne is a skin disorder. We are right up-to certain extent. Scientifically acne is a pilosebaceous unit disorder. This pilosebaceous unit consists of sebaceous gland, hair follicle and hair. You will find these units present on all parts of the body barring lips, soles and palms. These units exist in more numbers on chest, face and neck – that is the reason why these parts are most affected by acne. Sebum is produced by sebaceous glands for moisturizing skin and hair. Due to hormonal changes during adolescence, level of sebum production is increased. This sebum combines with the dead cells and fills up hair follicle. When the hair follicle gets filled up the sebum starts spreading on the skin surface thus giving an oily look.
This blockage of follicle by skin cells (dead) and sebum triggers occurrence of acne. Propioni group bacteria, said to be present in the sebum can cause mild infections. This process leads to inflammatory acne, pustules or red bumps. In some cases infection is not caused by the bacteria and acne appears only in plug form that is comedones…
