Acne Natural Treatments

Following are the some of the natural therapies that you can try out for getting rid of acne.

  • Warm water enema: This procedure gives better results when used as a combination therapy with “all-fruit” diet. The main objective of this procedure is to cleanse the bowel and eliminate toxic deposits from the body. You can also use hot fomentation. This would help you in opening of pores and removing clogged waste substances. After you use hot fomentation remember to use cold water for washing face.
  • Sun baths and air baths: It is a simple procedure which involves exposure of whole body in general and affected area in particular to air and sun.
  • Salt bath using hot Epsom: Bathing with Hot Epsom salt at intervals of three to four days surely helps in elimination of acne. Just add 1-1/2 Kg Epsom salt to about 50 to 60 liters of hot water (temperature approximately 37 degree Celsius). Bathe for about half an hour (till you sweat). Special Acne Diet – use of fruits

‘Skip the meals take the fruits’ is the golden rule of acne diet. Replace your meals with fruits, that is what ‘all-fruit’ diet is. Always use juicy fruits like pears, grapes, pineapples, apples etc in your ‘all-fruit’ diet. Do not add sugar to lemon water. You can drink either warm or cold water. Take only fruits, fruit juices and water. Continue this ‘all-fruit’ diet for about a week. After this, gradually change your diet to well balanced diet using vegetables, fruits, and sprouted seeds, wholegrain cereals like brown rice and millet and raw nuts. You may repeat your ‘all-fruit’ diet once in a month till you notice improvement in skin condition.

Avoid foods which can trigger acne.

Though there are no proven results available that infer association of certain foods with occurrence of acne. Howeverit is on the safer side to avoid food items which you feel can lead to appearance of acne or any other skin abnormality. Association of Menstruation with Acne

Some studies have revealed that women suffer most during their monthly cycle. The reason behind this appears to be the increase in the hormonal levels during this period. This increase in hormonal levels includes enhanced androgen hormones.
